Introducing our sixth release of three single cask bottlings which include none other than a 27yo Islay Single Malt! Our Bowmore has been matured in a single refill sherry butt for 27 years, slowly maturing and developing sweet smokey flavours. In contrast, our Blair Athol 12yo finished in a ‘Super Porto’ Tawny Barrique is an intense yet balanced whisky – a perfect Christmas dram! Finally, a delicious, fruity vanilla Inchgower 16yo.
A perfect Trio for this festive period.

The nose is initially floral and sweet with lavender and Parma Violets. This is followed by sticky barbeque sauce smothered over grilling ribs, smoked over a charcoal fire with a hint of sweet tobacco. The first taste, neat, is chewy and meaty. The smoked barbeque flavours continue along with a spicy notes of red peppercorns. Hints of cherry to finish. Water brings the smoke to the forefront along with an increase in delicious sweetness. On the reduced palate the complexity of flavour only increases with floral notes appearing on the taste with hickory sauce (maple wood sweetness).. mouthwatering!

Aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, strawberry (Vimto?). Hints of liquorice, plum and a light vanilla note. The taste showcases the deep dark fruits with a peppery and anise spice – a slight tannic finish but not overwhelming. With water the aroma is lighter, more floral. The reduced taste is just as dark berry heavy as before – but much more juicy. Nice lingering port finish which is very moreish.

Huge vanilla notes initially. Butter Cream, peach, orange zest, fresh grass with hints of toffee apples. The taste maintains the vanilla notes along with more tropical fruits, cantaloupe melon sprinkled with Demerara sugar. Lingering flavours of cinnamon & green cardamom. With water – vanilla icing smothered over sponge cake. Vanilla fudge, caramac and vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce. Lighter and smoother on a reduced palate … extremely easy to drink!
