Founded in 1821 by Peter Brown with production starting at Linkwood distillery in 1825. It’s a strong and staple Speyside named after the nearby Burn of Linkwood.
Having built a strong reputation with blenders over the years, Linkwood is a prominent feature in both Johnnie Walker and White Horse. Only 1-2% of the production is used in single malts but Linkwood maintains it’s popularity and desirability amongst independent bottlers.
