The Three Pillars

We are very proud to bring to you our fourth release of three bottlings. This varied range offers a vast array of flavours, not only from the three distinctive distilleries that have produced the spirit, but each has been finished in a complementary and distinctive wood. A 12yo finished in a PX Barrique, 13yo finished in a Rubino Marsala Red Wine Barrique and a 12yo finished in a Tawny Port cask – we think there is something to suit everyone in this perfect little line-up.

Whisky For Sharing

We are continuing to add more stockists, working with some truly wonderful bars and shops to bring Tri Carragh to more of you.

Now that we have such a great range of whisky in our back catalogue, this year we’re attending some of the best whisky festivals across the UK as well as hosting private tastings for whisky clubs and in store events with our stockists.

You may have seen us at whisky festival and several masterclass tastings around Scotland. If not, make sure to follow us on our socials and sign up to our newsletter to keep up to date with all events and future releases.

Single Malt from Tamnavulin Distillery

Distilled in 2011 and finished in a 1st fill Pedro Ximenez Sherry Hogshead for 9 months. The nose offers chocolate ganache mixed with citric fruit and floral notes. The palate brings tannins and peppery spice notes along with hints of orange zest – with water is becomes much creamier and sweeter.

Region: Speyside
Age: 12 Years
Distil Date: 04.08.11
Strength: 56.8%
Cask Type: 1st Fill Sherry Hogshead
Outturn: One of 314 bottles

Single Malt from Glen Elgin Distillery

Distilled in 2011 & finished in a 1st Fill Tawny Port Barrique for 15 months. A nose initially of dark chocolate covered raisins, orange citrus notes and dark treacle changes with water into tropical fruit notes along with floral aromas such as heather, lavender and orange. The taste follows a similar path with the addition of cinnamon spice neat then the juicer fruit notes bursting through.

Region: Speyside
Age: 12 Years
Distil Date: 06.07.11
Strength: 55.5%
Cask Type: 1st Fill Port Barrique
Outturn: One of 292 bottles

Single Malt from Macduff Distillery

Distilled in 2010 and finished in a Rubino Marsala Red Wine cask for 17 months. This is a tale of two drams in one – changing completely with water. Neat this has aromas and a palate of blackberries and blackcurrants. An addition of strawberries with dark chocolate and a peppery hit – probably due to being a punchy 61.8%! Reduced: sweeter tropical fruits dominate along with vanilla and hints of strawberries. The palate is juicy and sweet but still with the dark fruits and berries that were found initially.

Region: Highland
Age: 13 Years
Distil Date: 04.05.10
Strength: 61.8%
Cask Type: 1st Fill Wine Barrique
Outturn: One of 210 bottles
Additional Info: Reracked September 2022, Ex Rubino Marsala
